The garlands have been hung, and the lights are twinkling. The annual Lights by the Lake Holiday Festival is underway here in our beloved Pinewood Corners. Many fun and family friendly activities are planned for this year’s festival, including ice skating, the tree lighting and Pinewood High’s Senior Show Choir Holiday Concert on the town square, and of course, the Christmas Cookie Bake-off! This year the bake off is being televised by everyone’s favorite cooking and baking spot, the Culinary Channel!
Word on the street is that the Culinary Channel has chosen a very special celebrity chef to host this year’s cookie bake off! Shhh…this reporter has been sworn to secrecy, but be on the lookout for a VERY colorful personality, spiky hair, convertible Corvette, sunglasses, and all! In addition to the fabulous host, the Culinary Channel will be sending some of its most esteemed TV chefs to judge the cookie creations baked by our very own Pinewood Corners citizens, who will be competing for the unbelievable grand prize of fifty thousand dollars.
